Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.


1. Equipment Development Project
Work with vendors to develop, set up/debug automation machine; Timely feedback and solve the problem to ensure the progress of the project
2. Existing MC upgrade with Automation
Responsible for the electrical design of automatic modification of our current machine, responsible for the electrical design of automatized machine improvement;
3. Overall Design
Design about the machine layout which should cooperate with the mechanical engineer and software engineer;
4. Programming & Digitalization
Provide automatic control equipment programming according to the production needs; Provide digital solution to implement site digital factory projects to improve process control real time.
5. Trouble Shooting
Problem identification and trouble-shooting a wide range of complex electrical problems for automation line. 
6. Purchase follow-up
Responsible for the following of outsourcing parts, solve the parts problem of machine;
7. Design & work documentation
Responsible for build assemble work instruction, manual, and training of assembler, operator and maintenance of the machine.
8. Technical Guidance 
Line maintenance/change over together with/guiding the technicians to make sure automation machine run smoothly.

What your background should look like:

    • Bachelor’s degree or above, MECHATRONICS, Electronic Enginieering, or Electrical majored in Automation or Electrical Engineering, familiar with electrical control theory and design
    • 5+ years of experience with automated machines maintenance and electrical design
    • Proficiency in English, both oral and written
    • Familiar with Vision Inspection (Keyence/Cognex), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), pneumatics, sensors, motors and other motion control devices
    • Familiar with the product develop procedure, know the input and output of different design stage.
    • Experience specifying, programming, & trouble shooting Servo Controls and electrical troubleshooting
    • Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good interpersonal skills.
