Job Requirements
- Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes to increase efficiency; consulting on and overseeing the selection and implementation of automation and robotics on the assembly line.
- Resolving complex issues on design, manufacturability and build sequences; ensures production environment standards are met.
- Designing and implementing processes for manufacturing equipment selection; identifying optimal tools for machines.
- Establishing control charting of complex features and processes; monitoring results and determining machine capabilities, process capabilities, and performance reliability.
What your background should look like
Requirements:
• Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering Degree or equivalent is preferred.
• 5-7 years of work experience on manufacturing, specifically cable assemblies for power applications
• Experience with applicable systems (SAP, TLM, CAD etc.) and familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Strong experience to understand industry document specifications like US-CAR & IPC620.
• Strong understand the cable making technology, stamping and plating technology, HSG molding technology, metal and plastic raw material characteristics.
• Experience on product tolerance analysis, Stability using verify data analysis the processes, such as the CPK.
• Expertise with the product development process, able to provide DFM, SOP, PFMEA, BOP, CTAR required for each phase according to the project schedule.
• Experience with the equipment capability in the cable assembly process, and independent to complete the equipment capacity improvement, and be familiar with the improvement of product efficiency by IE knowledge.
• Working knowledge of manual, semi-automatic and automatic assembly processes
Responsibilities:
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead the successful transfer of new products from Engineering to Manufacturing Operations, ensuring seamless integration of processes and systems.
• LEANPD Driven New Product Development: Strong player a pivotal role in LEANPD driven new product development projects, ensuring strong impact and adherence to Lean principles throughout the process.
• For power CA products serve as high level process leader for cutting, stamping, molding, final assembly, or other TE manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance for quality and output
• Interface Between Product Development and Manufacturing Engineering: Act as expertise element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to optimize design for manufacturability
• Highly Support Product Development by optimizing designs and piece parts for manufacturability, and by realizing sample tooling, product samples, and prototypes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Expertise on design, develop, and qualify tooling and manual / automate processes for high speed products to meet TE quality and production standards, documenting all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems
• Drive for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods, striving to optimize processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory agency requirements, ISO standards, and customer requirements, ensuring compliance across all manufacturing processes with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
