Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

 

Reporting to the Plant manager, TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are subject matter expertsresponsible for the timely, cost-eff ective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of productionmaterials. One of the primary responsibilities is to develop and simplify the global supply chain, through the execution ofinternational projects.


They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory atthe established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers,manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving effi ciency, eff ectiveness andcapabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materialsthrough production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitoractual performance against goals.

Responsibilities

• Regular monitoring and improving the fl ow and eff ectiveness of deliveries from TE Suppliers and TE Plants to TECustomers with the special focus on optimizing the Value Stream.
• Recognizing demand patterns, communicating with Demand Management, Product Management and Sales tobetter recognize Customers Demand for this product,
• Lead continuous improvement activity, individually and with teams to impact company KPIs.
• Perform root causes analysis of late deliveries in support of corrective actions needed to drive deliveryimprovement. Able to perform similar actions proactively for future demand. Drive stock fulfi lment for preferredand standard parts.
• Reduce Past dues, improve Delivery performance and Extraordinary Customer Experience,
• Support and manage monthly S&OP and MPS with critical suppliers (Supplier STC, LT accuracy, PO review),fi nalize Report Out of Supply Review
• Escalate supply and demand issues to Global Supply Chain Leadership and execute the determined course ofaction.
• Manage with minimal optimal cost premium freight to ship out fi nished products to meet customer requirements.
• Highlight suppliers and delivery issues to Strategic Procurement to ensure components are available to supportthe delivery schedule, expediting / de-expediting as appropriate
• Balance strategic stocking with inventory control at the optimum level
• Prepare ad hoc analysis to support improving Supply Chain KPI’s on the OV/OTE area

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent
10+ years of experience within the area of Material Planning, Production Planning or Procurement orequivalent
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• Excellent knowledge in the use of SAP 
• Good Microsoft Offi ce, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and communication skills is high priority
• Good project management skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teams
• Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continues improvement attitude
• Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels
