Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities

- Development of commodity strategy aligned with Business Expectation
- Ongoing supplier evaluation, and continuous improvement - Leading a team dedicated to supply base progress and goals
- Assure execution of competitive bids, negotiations, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement ideas for assigned commodities or services through the alignment with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management, Supplier development and functional owners Contribute to top and bottom-line growth for TE Auto product lines
- Drive a localization strategy, complementing the goals of the HEMS GPL.
- Strategic alignment with product management and driving a supply base roadmap
- Drive Supply Chain Optimization Strategies such as VMI, Consignment, LT Reduction, MOQ improvement & Others
- Prepare and promote regional/global commodity strategies in collaboration with Center Led Teams and Global Electronics/Metals Commodity to enhance/optimize the performance 
- Develop and retain talent using the appropriate development framework. Build a succession plan to permit a dynamic career development within the group. 
- Benchmarking analysis to support Long Term Agreements and Leverage negotiations 
- Support to Manufacturing Operations in North America Plants
 

What your background should look like:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering 
•    3-5 years of Supply Chain, Procurement or Engineering experience 
•    Fluency in English (read, write and speak). 
•    Proficient in SAP 
•    Proven experience on Management & Leadership skills 
•    High level expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project/product lifecycle management). 
•    Extensive experience working with multicultural and cross disciplined groups 
•    Understand Molding/ Seals commodities 
•    Strong communication and presentation skills 
•    Ability to have interpersonal and political savvy to drive project teams 
•    Excellent project management skills 
•    Ability to energize and motivate Teams Deal comfortably with senior managers by understanding how they think and work
•    Demonstrated negotiation skills.
•    Ability for periodic travel required.
