Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

o Manage the production teams by objectives – based on strong KPIs follow up, drive team spirit, coordinate transversal activities, lead organizational changes in production area, increase the skill level of production workforce.
o Keep all production employees informed about Production Indicator status and targets
o Contribute to the establishment of adequate operations budgets – under close cooperation with the Operations Manager and functional leaders – and make sure budgetary limitations are respected.
o Responsible for follow up quality policies in the manufacturing area and for increasing the manufacturing quality performance to ensure Extraordinary Customer Experience and continuous improvement of products and services.
o Is responsible for the safety and security of all employees in the manufacturing area and ensures that plant safety rules are followed.
o Support the professional growth of employees, identifying key players, proposing actions aimed at motivating people.
o Actively contribute to develop local talents through training, coaching, and facilitation.
o Ensure employees are skilled and trained according to latest standards.
o Provide strong leadership to his (her) supervisors in order to ensure proper performance of duties and achievement of assigned objectives.
 

What your background should look like:

o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, Master's Degree preferred
o 5 years of professional experience with focus on production, logistics or industrial engineering and economical knowledge.
o Previous experience in leading operations in multiple value stream level.
o Strong background in Lean practices, experience in using value stream mapping and implementing TEOA tools, such as: 5S+1, Visual Factory, Standard, Work, Quick Changeover and TPM essential.
o Excellent communication and coaching skills at all levels from the shop floor to top management
o Strong team leader
o Ability to think strategically and execute tactically to deliver results
o Analytically minded and data-driven to have a holistic overview of complex situations.
