Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, International Commerce and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Equivalent work experience in supply chain, logistics and transportation.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, and Supply Chain processes and coordination of air, ocean, ground, and multimodal services.
  • Coordination of all intermediaries involved in a Supply Chain. From vendor until production plants.
  • Knowledge of key logistics cost drivers (i.e., weight, dims, accessorial, space allocation management, etc.).
  • Knowledge on INCOTERMS application.
  • Knowledge Trade Commerce documentation required for imports and exports in US and Mexico (i.e., Complemento Carta Porte, Shipping Letter Instructions, inbond entry, domestic entries, commercial documentation, Certificates of origin, Bill of Lading, etc.).

  • Experience in the Automotive industry
