Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering significantly impact new projects, driving for excellence existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. Realize sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements. This engineer is expected to lead technical work related to high speed connectors and cable assemblies.


  • Responsible for leading the technical process development and launch activities of new high-speed cable assemblies
  • Lead new parts qualification and Develop production process
  • Perform time studies, line balance and eliminate non-value added operations
  • Support varied manufacturing projects, including process improvements and cost reduction activities
  • Plan equipment layout, workflow, and accident prevention measures to maximize efficiency and maintain safe utilization of plant facilities
  • Validate original cost estimates to actual costs for launched programs
  • Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements and improvements
  • Maintain records and systems for coordinating manufacturing operations
  • Initiate root cause analysis and perform mistake proofing
  • Effectively support the production floor as needed
  • Successfully train operators in proper methods and usage of tooling, fixtures and machines
  • Support and practice Lean / TEOA initiatives
  • Responsible to lead and align technical project team members on a common approach to the process and tooling development with the ability to identify areas needing escalation to maintain project schedule
  • Work as a team player and have the ability to work independently with limited oversight
  • Ability to recognize when escalations are required for matters of technical significance
  • Lead and train production employees within the manufacturing environment on new product launches
  • Understand and respect for the cultural differences 


  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering required
  • 3+ years of manufacturing and process / fixture design experience 
  • Excellent English communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Proficient in machine, tool, and fixture design using 3D CAD
  • Working knowledge of six sigma and lean manufacturing tools. Six Sigma Black Belt is a plus
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, & Outlook
  • Project and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Must be an organized, self-starter that can work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities
