Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Financial Planning & Analysis Teams develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. They perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. They gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. The Financial Planning & Analysis Teams also perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.

 

Our desired candidate will drive our financial consolidation processes and activities as well as analytics to support business decisions.  The Operations Financial Analyst must be an exceptional business partner to the global/regional operations finance leaders.  This position is responsible for pulling together all plant and non-plant financials, analyzing and support of bridging of results for review by regional and global management.  Key responsibilities included:


•    Support monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts for functional Operation areas through data consolidation and reporting
•    Improve on data aggregation tools with a focus on improving reports and processes
•    Use reporting tools to develop and maintain centralized financial reporting dashboards
•    Collaborate with business partners to share insights and drive improved outcomes by providing financial indicators and analyses to facilitate sound business decisions
•    Maintain key processes used to support the consolidation and financial reporting for the business
•    Monitor month-end close and ensure data is accurately reported across all relevant systems.
•    Support user training to ensure functional partners understand the application capabilities 
•    Design and optimize system reports
•    Performs other duties as assigned
 

What your background should look like:

•    Experience working in a manufacturing environment
•    Prior finance experience in general accounting principles and process
•    Good understanding of financial analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting
•    Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field 
•    2+ years’ experience in a reporting / data analyst role with progressive responsibilities and scope 
•    Proficiency in data manipulation using tools like Excel, experience with SAP is necessary and familiarity with BPC/Hyperion a plus
•    Interpersonal skills: exceptional verbal/written communication 
•    Must be curious, mentally agile and have a bias towards continuous improvement. 
•    Minimal travel required <10%
