Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

Primary responsibilities

  • Develops and executes multi-year sourcing strategy for assigned commodities/suppliers by gathering business requirements
  • Identifies/pre-qualifies potential suppliers by evaluating product offerings
  • Recommends suppliers that achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price, and service to meet TE’s requirements
  • Is capable to work as part of an international and multi-cultural team, providing extensive analytical support, understanding inherent complexity, and aligning with other relevant team-members across the globe
  • Works to deliver individual targets as well as supporting total overall Corp. Services & total overall HR FY targets
  • Identifies and corrects issues that are not immediately evident in existing systems or processes by analyzing information and generating ideas.
  • Delivers results according to specific targets in direct support of department objectives
  • Conducts multiple bidding and vendor selections in parallel
  • Negotiates assigned contracts with suppliers up to execution and implementation
  • Support Cross functional teams i.e. Marketing, HR, Finance, Plant Operations, etc.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Good knowledge of Human Resources or Corporate Service commodities 
  • Vendor Contract Management: write, red line, negotiate iternal & external contracts
  • E-Catalog management is a plus
  • Cognos and Power BI preferred
