Job Overview

The Master Black Belt (MBB) serves as an enterprise-level leader for problem solving excellence, 
continuous improvement, and capability development.  The MBB will be instrumental in the 
development, deployment, training and certification of the entire DFSS/Six Sigma Strategy within the business unit, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and drives significant improvement in 
execution, productivity, and measurable business results.
The MBB will lead the training and certification of Black Belts and Green Belts, strengthening crossfunctional team performance, utilization of tools and robust methodologies, and fostering a data-driven culture.  The primary aim is to lead Cultural Transformation and systematically instill Six Sigma 
principles and data-driven decision-making into the company's systems, policies, processes and 
culture.

We are seeking a Six Sigma/DFSS Leader responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving our Green Belt and Black Belt training programs while driving a cultural transformation toward data‑driven decision‑making. This role will oversee on‑site training, certification tracking, and the governance of internal standards to ensure consistent application of methodologies across the organization. The ideal candidate will serve as a primary technical expert, coaching cross‑functional teams, strengthening problem‑solving capabilities, and promoting a “First Time Right” mindset. They will support NPI initiatives by applying DFSS tools such as VOC, QFD, FMEA, DOE, APQP, and capability studies to enable robust product and process development. Additionally, this position will lead structured problem‑solving for mass production issues using DMAIC and advanced analytics, driving improvements in key operational metrics such as DPPM, FPY, scrap, and Cpk. The role also partners closely with senior leadership to align continuous improvement priorities with business strategy and reinforce a culture of operational excellence.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline
(Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Physics, etc.)

Certified Master Black Belt (ASQ or equivalent corporate certification)

10+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, quality, or engineering

Several years of hands-on experience developing, deploying, training, and certifying
DFSS/Six Sigma Training Programs, with demonstrated ability to coach both technical and non‑technical audiences

Proven enterprise-level leadership capability, demonstrating experience as a:

  • Master Coach
  • Mentor
  • Strategic Problem Solver
  • Influencer across multiple engineering functions

Expert-level proficiency in:

  • Advanced problem‑solving methodologies
  • Statistical analysis
  • Six Sigma/DFSS tool utilization

Experience working with global, cross‑functional engineering teams
within a multi‑site, multinational organization

 

Knowledge of data center architecture and related technologies, including:
connectors, wire harnesses, busbars, high‑speed connectivity products, high voltage systems, electronics, measurement, and signal processing

Experience in new product development for data center applications, such as:
high‑speed interconnect solutions, high‑speed backplane connectors, pluggable I/O interconnects, and copper cable assemblies

Advanced analytics expertise, including:
non‑parametric statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and integration of data science (AI/ML) into engineering design processes

Deep understanding of Shainin Red X® structured problem‑solving methodologies
