Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Full Site Leadership & Strategy Execution
•    Lead the manufacturing plant with full accountability for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.
•    Develop and execute a site strategy aligned with TE Medical’s global objectives.
•    Own the P&L for the site, ensuring cost control, productivity improvements, and financial success.
•    Drive strategic initiatives in automation, Industry 4.0, and digital transformation.
2. Operations & Engineering Leadership
•    Oversee engineering and manufacturing operations, ensuring best practices in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
•    Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), scrap reduction, cycle times, and throughput.
•    Lead capacity planning and capital investment decisions to support future business growth.
3. Financial Performance & Cost Efficiency
•    Ensure budget adherence, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies.
•    Lead capital planning and investment strategies for plant growth and innovation.
•    Optimize supply chain coordination to reduce inventory costs and improve material flow.
4. Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
•    Ensure full regulatory compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, OSHA, and environmental standards.
•    Create a zero-incident safety culture, partnering with EHS leaders to proactively address risks.
•    Maintain cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and facility security.
5. Talent Development & High-Performance Culture
•    Lead, develop, and mentor site leadership teams.
•    Drive succession planning and organizational capability development.
•    Increase employee engagement, retention, and workforce readiness for the future.

 

Qualifications & Experience:


•    15+ years of experience in plant management, operations, or engineering leadership.
•    10+ years of direct people leadership experience, including multi-functional teams.
•    Medical device, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated industry experience preferred.
•    Strong P&L and financial acumen, with experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
•    Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
•    Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Business, or related field); MBA preferred.
