Job Overview

The Financial Analyst role will be responsible for providing financial and analytical support for Components Business Unit (BU) within Medical. The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Finance Director and partner with the R&D Engineering, Project Management and Product Management teams based in the US, Costa Rica and Ireland. The role will provide financial analysis and reporting support the full P&L for the Components BU and help drive the achievement of short-term objectives and long-term financial improvements for the business. This role has high visibility with senior leadership in the BU.

Job Requirements

  • Lead finance partner for New Product Development (NPD) working closely with the Engineering partners to build forecast and track/drive achievement of full engineering budget as well as project specific financials and support capex
  • Review NPD project cash flow models, and participate as finance delegate for project advisory committee for Components BU
  • Work closely with product management team to provide financial support and portfolio analysis support as needed
  • Support month-end close process BU, including sales and margin reporting, consolidating site and non-site P&Ls and building sequential and commit forecast bridges
  • Support quarterly forecasting process for the Product Line including sales and margin data, non-site forecast builds and support the consolidation of the BU
  • Collaborate with manufacturing site controllers to help identify efficiencies to improve financial performance
  • Drive continuous improvement through standardization and automation of financial processes and reporting
  • Analyze large volumes of data from multiple sources and translate into clear concise reports with actionable insights to senior management
  • Other Ad hoc requests and project work as necessary

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance
  • Extensive MS Excel knowledge and demonstrated data analytics
  • Experience with other TE data sources preferred (TED, Hyperion, SAP
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to think on your feet, deal with multiple stakeholders effectively at all levels and functions of the organization
  • Team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, humility and a focus on business impact
  • Highly motivated and able to learn and drive toward results independently
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrated ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly
