Job Overview

The primary purpose is to load production areas with shop orders and to expedite these orders with the objective of optimising billings and achieving forecast output. This team needs to maintain high levels of customer service, adjusting sales acknowledge dates in line with customer schedules.



• Manage the Abnormal Demand process for your Value stream
• Orderbook Analysis
o Predict and drive your commitment to the number of billings you will ship for your value stream
o Highlight and manage risks to billings by working with key departments to resolve 
• Communicating any deltas and recovery plans with Internal and External stake holders
• Attend Customer calls when required
• NPI –Ensure SAP is updated and plans are in place to meet new products commitments
• Responsible to make sure  ECN’s  ( Engineering Change Notices ) are updated in SAP and we runout of old stock before making changes.
• Responsible for reporting any access on Inventory
• Report the Inventory – WIP ( Work in Progress) & FG ( Finished Goods) and ensure we keep within TE agreed stocking levels
• Run a Monthly Audit on Production orders and tidy up any old production sheets
• Work with Finite Planners on Production Wheels
• Responsible for ensuring we meet plan and making and Recommendation to hold stock to meet plan
• Running Value steam meetings & Document and share with key departments
• To determine the allocation of stock orders in the knowledge of differing priorities.
• Work with Sales to ensure they have uploaded forecasts for long build programs
• Communicating with Customer services and Product managers on supply delays & recovery plans
• Responsible for closing old production orders
• To control and action, alongside production the handling of customer returns to ensure complaints / re-manufacture is handled with speed and efficiency
• Responsible for allocating and placing orders for delivery to customers in SAP
• To receive progress enquiries from Sales, investigate lead-time that is achievable so that the order may be obtained.
• To Provide the Planning Manager with relevant Strategic information as and when required.
• To observe Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation
• Any other reasonable task as may be requested from time to time.


Good general education to ‘GCSE’ level standard required. Must be literate and numerate.
Experience in Production Control and/or materials planning and experience of a computerised MRP system essential.
Extensive use of SAP critical to the role.
Have excellent interpersonal skills.
