TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding or assembly related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. 

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Industrial Engineer to join the AD&M (Aerospace, Defence & Marine)  Manufacturing Team in Hastings. This will be a plant-based assignment with an emphasis on process improvements, cost reductions, and database accuracy.


Key responsibilities include: 

  • Working with the Manufacturing Team to identify and document High-Value project opportunities. 
  • Support Product Management with the analysis of manufacturing cost accuracy and improvement. 
  • Work with local Production and Engineering Team to assure accurate processes, bill of materials and production rates.  And serve as the plant focal point for analyzing and generating capital equipment needs and requests
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to create project charters to include project cost and savings summary.
  • Lead manufacturing projects including Process Improvements, Cost reduction, Production and OEE efficiency improvements, Transfer and Migration projects.
  • Provide leadership in problem analysis and development of collaborative engineering solutions.
  • Use statistical methods to assure process capability.
  • Review, improve and maintain SAP Bill of Material and Process accuracy.
  • Work with Finance Team to identify and address sources of manufacturing variances
  • Work with Plant Materials Organization to monitor and address equipment capacity concerns
  • Lead and support Process Improvement Kaizen events including process mapping and line balancing.
  • Serve as the Plant focal point for Conversion Savings and Ready to Deploy Project reporting.
  • Help to create maintain Plant Layout.


Preferred qualifications include:
•    Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or similar degree.
•    Manufacturing Experience in Core Processes (CNC machining, assembly, automation)
•    Must possess strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to summarize and communicate with all levels of the organization.
•    Must be organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to work independently or as a team in a fast-paced environment to achieve prescribed deliverables.
•    Strong computer skills required with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft AX / ERP, Statistical software and Microsoft Project (Preferred)
•    Working knowledge of six sigma and lean manufacturing tools.
•    Knowledge of Digital Factory Tools is a plus.
