Job Overview
The Global Sr Manager of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Compliance is a key role in TE’s Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) Business Unit. This leader owns ensuring that AD&M’s 18 plants around the world maintain and improve their Quality Management System.
The candidate in this role must effectively lead and influence the QMS team and partner with other functions ensuring compliance is met while working on continuous improvement initiatives to drive business excellence and mitigate risk.
This candidate will be responsible for identifying gaps and rolling out new or updated procedures in conjunction with carrying out training to ensure robust implementation and effectiveness.
In this role, you will be interfacing with auditing organizations, regulatory authorities, manufacturing plants and customers where necessary, in addition to supporting and carrying out the internal audit process within AD&M business unit to ensure standardization as part of the One AD&M Quality Manage initiative.
You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate strong presence and influence.
Key responsibilities for this role:
- Lead the implementation of a ONE AD&M the Quality Management System in line with Corporate TE Policies and our Plant certification and customer requirements
- Identify gaps and act as a proactive partner in driving change and developing solutions in close collaboration with site continuous improvement team.
- Facilitate and lead on site audits at TE sites ensuring Plants maintain their 3rd Party Certifications
- Manage the Internal and 3rd party / certification Audit programs including follow-up for the closure of all related observations, improvements, major and minor non-conformance corrective and preventive action.
- Provide regular report out of key KPIs on quality metrics within the organization to the Global Leadership Team.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews with operational business management / supply chain management to review ongoing action planning for improvement.
- Ensure robust succession plans and talent pipelines to identify and develop bench strength to fill future leadership roles.
What your background should look like:
- B.S. Degree in engineering, manufacture, supply chain or business or related discipline.
- 13 years of more of experience in Quality Management Systems implementation and improvement.
- Demonstrated capability and experience upgrading QMS in A&D or other highly regulated industry with a company that has a multi-plant footprint across regions of the world.
- Proven track record of quantifiable results.
- Strong Problem Solving Skills and Expertise in Root Cause and Corrective Action.
- Strong knowledge of certifications and implementation such as AS9100, IATF16949, AS9145
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of quality tools including but not limited to 8D, FMEA, 5Y, FAI’s, PPAP & APQP
- Experience in complying with customer, statutory and regulatory requirements.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $150,000- 175,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
