Job Overview
This position will support the develop and execution of the Equipment, Engineering Services and Equipment Components commodity strategies for the TE Internal for North America region and support teammates in the creation of a best-in-class Procurement team. The qualified individual will drive the commodities to meet the key year-over-year performance indicators focusing on productivity, delivery, and quality with superior customer service to the Business Unit stakeholders. The role also requires driving leading indicators such as savings pipeline and supplier reduction.
The Sourcing Analyst will be expected to:
• Manage stakeholder relationships, through procurement expertise, responsiveness and business understanding (General Global Market / Industry and TE Internal requirements).
• Manage the execution of the strategy utilizing Procurement expertise in negotiation, RFI/RFQ support and/or processing, contract development, supplier management and other core procurement skills.
• Utilize all tools and strategies within and alongside the Corporate Indirect Procurement ESS (Equipment, Spares, Engineering Services) commodities and sub-commodity groupings to drive significant savings, meeting individual, regional and global TE savings goals.
• Help continuously improve overall service to all TE internal customers.
Job Requirements
As a member of a Procurement Team this individual will be responsible for managing the assigned commodities and associated activities to maximize supplier performance, lead negotiations, develop strategies and deliver Extraordinary Customer Experiences (ECE) to all stakeholders and customers.
As a Strategic Sourcing Analysist, a typical day includes:
• Interface with customers to meet their requirements
• Drive and create savings projects (Reduction and Avoidance)
• Attend conference calls, answer e-mails, presence meetings, plant visits, analyze Purchase Requisitions, creation of Purchase Orders.
• Manage respective supplier relationships
• Supplier visits, negotiation conference calls, presence meetings.
• Develop long-term agreements
• Elaborate agreements, review agreements, negotiate agreement terms.
• Ensure contract compliance
• Invoice resolution, unblock invoices for payment, verification of Invoice vs PO accuracy.
• Implement cost savings projects
• Drive continuous improvement
• Participation in projects related to improvement of procurement procedures, implementation of best practices, implementation of Procurement Transformation Strategies and Processes.

What your background should look like
• Experience in Purchasing/Procurement (5+ years).
• Demonstrated experience as a buyer, growing to commodity management for Indirect Commodities.
• Proficient in MS office: advanced practice of Excel and Power point is a must.
• Proven contract management experience (writing, redlining, & detailled negotiation).
• Strong analytical skills. Ability to analyze complex financial documentation and RFP submissions and make reports and recommendations to senior management. Experience with third party procurement bidding and analysis tools such as Jaggaer is a plus.
• Business planning and forecasting
• Excellent communication skills. English language skills in speech and writing.
• Ability to speak persuasively in front of a large audience may include everything from management to the executive level.
• Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, able to work well with international teams and individuals, not afraid to push for change, but humble in approach.
• Education: Bachelor level degree in Business, Procurement, Engineering, Finance or related field. Advanced degree a plus.
• Knowledge of Production Machines and Equipment Commodities is required.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $91,800 - $137,700/Year (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
