Job Overview

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst II supports New Product Development (NPD), supplier migration, and manufacturing footprint optimization initiatives across Aerospace, Defense, and Marine, Oil & Gas (MOG) programs. This role owns sourcing execution for assigned projects and works cross‑functionally to deliver cost, quality, and timing objectives in alignment with commodity strategies and business processes.

Job Requirements

  • Own sourcing activities for assigned NPD, supplier migration, and footprint optimization projects from RFQ through supplier award.
  • Support new product launches, manufacturing transfers, supplier transitions, and supply chain adjustments.
  • Partner with Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, and Strategic Sourcing to meet project milestones and sourcing gates.
  • Issue and analyze RFQs, perform cost, quote, risk, and supplier capability analysis, and support supplier negotiations.
  • Prepare sourcing documentation for governance reviews and sourcing council approvals.
  • Identify and help mitigate sourcing risks related to cost, quality, capacity, and lead time, particularly during supplier migrations.
  • Support achievement of shared KPIs including launch on time, launch on cost, launch on quality, and NPD cycle time.

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, procurement, engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain roles.
  • Experience supporting NPD, supplier transitions, product launches, or manufacturing transfers preferred.
  • Working knowledge or experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, molding, stamping, plating, and electronics (PCBs / PCBAs).
  • Familiarity with metallic and non‑metallic materials, including chemicals and resins, preferred.
  • Exposure to First Article Inspections (FAIs) and supplier quality requirements preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in SAP procurement systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, and Teams; strong communication and presentation skills at all levels.
  • Strong decision-making skills and critical thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal and “soft skills”.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $72,900 - $109,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
