Our Digital Data Network (DDN) markets are rapidly growing driven by demand for AI and next-generation Cloud infrastructure spending. TE Connectivity is strengthening its position in these markets with a broad portfolio of high-speed connectors, cable assemblies, and power solutions to support low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity across complex IT environments. We are looking for a Global Product Manager to own a portion of our high-speed cable assembly portfolio.

 

This Global Product Manager will act as “mini” GMs driving the overall product strategy, business leadership, and capacity plans to achieve revenue and gross margin targets that enable long-term competitiveness and success of the product line.

 

This individual will develop, implement and execute on strategies for new business opportunities, as well as define opportunities for growth in existing product areas. This includes identifying growth opportunities within key accounts and developing relationships with emerging customers and market segments. This role requires strong strategic thinking, experience working across regions, and a proactive solid work ethic. This role must collaborate closely cross-functionally with colleagues in Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to gain alignment and drive the successful execution of the product.

 

This is a REMOTE position, with a preference for candidates located on the East Coast, as well as in key markets such as Texas and the San Francisco Bay Area. The role requires travel of approximately 25–50%, depending on the candidate’s location. Candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area may experience limited travel, as many customer engagements, trade shows, and key activities are centered in that region. Candidates located elsewhere in the U.S. should expect more frequent travel, as our primary customers are headquartered in the Bay Area and our manufacturing facilities are located globally. The ability to travel as needed is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

•    Analyze market and industry trends, demand drivers, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
•    Conduct market segmentation, competitive analysis, and benchmarking to define segment-specific value propositions that outperform the competition.
•    Develop long-term product roadmaps aligned with overall business strategy, collaborating with R&D and operations to create products that meet current and future customer requirements.
•    Design go-to-market strategies, including channel and partnership models, and manage the full product lifecycle from concept through post-launch optimization.
•    Define resource requirements and work cross-functionally to align sales, technology, and operations strategies with financial objectives.
•    Establish pricing policies and develop annual operating plans, including sales and margin targets.
•    Engage with customers to understand their strategic priorities and ensure product plans align with their needs.
•    Champion new growth initiatives and assess opportunities for new product development.
•    Plan and execute product launches, including marketing and sales enablement, while ensuring accurate demand forecasting for S&OP.
•    Negotiate directly with customers on major program opportunities and provide thought leadership within the interconnect and cable ecosystem market.
•    Partner with marketing communications to create collateral and digital content that articulates product value propositions.
•    Manage the P&L for assigned portfolios to deliver sustained, profitable growth.
•    Support sales teams through training and the creation of materials that strengthen customer engagement.
•    Oversee special pricing requests and address product-related issues such as quality or delivery challenges.
•    Track performance against business plans and facilitate corrective actions to close gaps.
•    Lead, motivate, and develop a global, multicultural team of product managers, fostering collaboration and growth through coaching and performance development.

 

Develop Business Plan
•    Define resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmap
•    Work cross-functionally to define sales, technology, and operations strategies and goals, in line with financial goals. Build consensus on specific tasks
•    Establish pricing policy
•    Develop the annual operating plan (Sales and gross or standard margin)

 

Execution – New Product Development & Launch
•    Be the opportunity champion for development projects
•    Plans product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans
•    Provide demand forecast inputs to S&OP
•    Attend customer meetings in support of winning new business
•    Exercise thought leadership

 

Execution – Post-Launch Product Management
•    Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned portfolio
•    Deliver sustained profitable growth
•    Enable sales to promote the product line via training and the development of collateral materials that help articulate the value proposition
•    Manage special price requests
•    Track progress to the business plan and facilitate the resolution to gaps
•    Be the champion for resolution of product issues (e.g., quality, delivery, etc.)

What your background should look like:

•    7+ years of product management, sales, business development, or other relevant experience
•    4-year technical or business degree required
•     Deep understanding of cloud and datacenter hardware architectures and/or Highspeed interconnect product or industry experience desired
•    Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant P&L management experience preferred
•    Strong business acumen with an ability to understand technically complex concepts
•    Creative and innovative thinker able to provide input on the development of product strategies and relevant business plans with the ability to execute
•    Proven ability to multi-task and drive results in a dynamic, high-paced environment
•    Strong interpersonal, planning, organization, and teamwork skills.
•    Ability to influence cross-functional teams both internally and externally
•    Advanced presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to foster understanding and acknowledgment of critical information both up and down the organization.
•    Partner with marketing communications to create collateral and digital content that articulates product value propositions.
•    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
•    Willingness and ability to travel domestically and globally

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $137,300 – $206,000/ Annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
