Job Overview

The HR Systems and Workforce Analytics teams manage TE's HR Technology. They build, implement and continuously improve global HR systems, data, reporting and analytics platform. They also develop custom reports to meet business requirements, monitor HR systems and analytics needs and provide technology and analytics solutions by designing new or modifying existing systems.

Job Profile:

TE Connectivity currently has an opportunity within its HR Solutions function for a HR Data Scientist. This role will be focused on the delivery of advanced insights to support the Global HR function and internal businesses HR Solutions supports globally.

You will focus on utilizing structured and unstructured data sets to deliver models, correlations, digital insights tools and advanced insights to support critical business and HR questions in support of TE Connectivity’s global direct and indirect labor.
 
You will be reporting to the Head of HR Business Architecture, Technology and Insights and working within a HR data insights team including, BI Consultants, Data Engineers and Data governance resources.
 

Job Role:

Experimentation
•    Define and follow a clear process for data experimentation.
•    Conduct statistical analysis and computations to find patterns and insights.
•    Take business questions and turn them into meaning full approaches for experimentation.
Advanced Insights
•    Review existing and define data variables required to deliver continuous data insights.
•    Utilize internal and external data sets to build out data variable analysis.
•    Deliver digital tools to support Human Capital Insights and decision making.
Unstructured Analysis
•    Help define and reimagine unstructured data capture points to gain better data. 
•    Define repeatable data processes to turn unstructured data in meaningful insights.
•    Deliver key insights to support HR decision making on process and policy changes.
Modelling
•    Develop reusable models to conduct scenario, forecast and predictive insights.
•    Uncover variables that score/rank/show why different events impact outcomes.
•    Deliver meaningful, understandable and actionable insights to drive action.
Machine Learning
•    Define approaches and build machine learning models to simplify data modelling.
•    Deploy and manage machine learning outputs within embeddable solutions.
•    Understand how to influence Data Engineering work to incorporate models.
Digital Alerts
•    Define statistical data thresholds to understand tolerance in events and processes.
•    Build and deploy data event-based alerts to drive action.
Educate
•    Coach and mentor internal team members and external HR team members.
•    Help build a HR Data Driven culture through understanding and interrupting data.
 

Skills:

•    Experienced in leading advanced analytics projects and assignments.
•    Strong experience in advanced BI delivery through digital tool.
•    Broad knowledge of applied statistics, experimental design and casual inference.
•    Highly effective in storytelling and data visualization.
•    Expert SQL proficiency 
•    Experience in programming languages and tools to enable data wrangling and statistical modelling including; R, Python, JavaScript or others.
•    Exceptional understanding of data modelling and ETL processes.
•    Experience with Cloudera, Amazon Web Services or others.
•    Experience directing and working with other data analytics professionals.  
•    Prior experience delivering and working in Human Resources function or People Analytics.
