STRATEGIC SOURCING ANALYST III

Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
What your background should look like:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the sourcing process for new products for TE Automotive North Americas Procurement organization in close co-operation with cross-functional teams involving Finance, Product management, Engineering and Project management. 
  • Develop product supply chain roadmap in collaboration with product management, commodity buyers, engineering team. Lead discussion with commodity buyers to evaluate supply gaps to support new product line. 
  • Develop the logistics map for the projects and optimize the total cost of ownership. 
  • Lead the supplier negotiations by developing negotiation strategies to improve the project profitability and reduce capex cost.
  • Prepare supplier risks, strengths, and weaknesses and review with cross-functional teams for risk mitigation. Drive localization strategy of supply from early design stages to reduce freight cost and inventory at start of production.
  • Responsible for early integration of suppliers in technical developments to support a robust design and continuously improve quality,cost, service and technology.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams for project readiness and smooth project ramp up.
  • Report status critical or high impact projects on regular basis to senior management.  


QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelors in Engineering, Business Admin or Supply Chain education minimum. Masters/MBA  preferred
  • +5 years of Procurement or Supply Chain experience. Experience on NPI/NPD Supply Chain preferred.
  • SAP System (required), used for operations, procurement, supply chain and other aspects to running the business.
  • Analytical and detail oriented. Proficient in MS Excel,Powerpoint, Power BI.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing negotiations and achieve savings.
