Job Responsibilities
• Take full ownership of specific commodity areas.
• Drive supplier performance improvements in key KPIs on-time delivery performance, quality, cost and lead time as well as inventory reduction programmed and payment terms.
• Identify supplier risks, and actively manage, ensuring necessary actions are taken to mitigate the risks.
• Identify true cost drivers to help deliver competitive supplier pricing.
• Monitor vendor Key Performance Indicators monthly, implementing corrective action plans where appropriate.
• Identify and approve new value-adding vendors in line with Business Unit and corporate policies.
• Work closely with supply chain and operations to ensure continuity of supply to the business.
• Ensure compliance to TE policies, procedures and quality standards.
• Generate and analyze data and reports to show individual and supplier performance.
• Produce and give presentations to suppliers and internal customers.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Business, Industrial Eng.
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role on a multinational environment, ideally in a manufacturing company.
• Strong level of English (spoken and written).
• Good SAP knowledge beneficial.
Required skills:
• Successfully working as part of a cross-functional global team.
• A confident and effective negotiator.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and with suppliers.
• Ability to manage both supplier and internal stakeholder relationships.
• The ability to organize and prioritize a rapidly changing set of objectives.
