Responsibilities
• Quick engagement with the Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering teams.
• Contribute on the operational strategy and develop the organization in support of business strategy, managing complex organizations with multiple sub-functions.
• LEANPD Driven New Product Development: Play a pivotal role in LEANPD driven new product development projects, ensuring strong impact and adherence to Lean principles throughout the process.
• Process and Expertise: For High-Speed products serve as high level process leader for cutting, stamping, molding, cable assembly, or other TE manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance for quality and output
• Support Product Development by optimizing designs and piece parts for manufacturability, and by realizing sample tooling, product samples, and prototypes.
• Tooling and Process Development: Design, develop, and qualify tooling and manual / automate processes for high speed products to meet TE quality and production standards, documenting all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems
• Initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost, and cycle time, aligning with TEOA requirements and Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP’s).
• Risk Management: For high-speed cable assembly products identify and mitigate risks in manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
• Maintain and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory agency requirements, ISO standards, and customer requirements, ensuring compliance across all manufacturing processes with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Requirements
• Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering Degree and +5 years of experience in this role or similar working with highspeed cable assembly.
• Commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
• Analytical skills with the ability to work on issues of diverse scope and provide input on key issues impacting the function.
• Ability to adapt and make significant departures from traditional approaches to enhance quality or value.
• Experience in interacting with senior management, with the ability to change thinking and gain acceptance from others.
• Ability to establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage change.
• Experience with applicable systems (SAP, TLM, CAD etc.) and familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Strong understand industry document specifications like US-CAR & IPC620.
• Strong understand the cable making technology, stamping and plating technology, HSG molding technology, metal and plastic raw material characteristics.
