Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

What your background should look like:

Education:
Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in the industry.
- Industrial mechanics 1 year
- Maintenance system management (preventive, predictive, corrective) at least 2 years
- PLC knowledge and diagnostics 1 year
- Industrial health and safety standards and procedures
- Implementation and maintenance of the 5s


    - Excel, power point - Work under pressure
    - LOTO, safety procedures - Problem solving
    - Reading diagrams electrical/electronic/pneumatic/hydraulic - Teamwork
    - Use of computer and its functionality internal - Ease of teaching others
    - Electrical controls (operation and diagnostics) - Managing people
    - Ensuring quality standards
    - English 40% (desirable)

 

RESPONSABILITIES

Daily activities:

1.    Reception and shift pass.
2.    Review priorities and schedule activities.
3.    Distribute personnel to activities and priorities.
4.    Ensure that the areas where work is performed are clean and orderly for 5'S compliance.
5.    Provide support to technicians and mechanics.
6.    Ensure that preventive maintenance activities are performed.
7.    Attend PIM meetings.
8.    Maintain maintenance metrics in order and up to date

Periodic activities:

9.    Follow and enforce EHS procedures and deploy TE connectivity policies.
10.    Comply with training required by TE connectivity for the position.
11.    Oversee that the preventive maintenance checklist and schedule is filled out correctly.
12.    Print preventive maintenance sheets
13.    Manage assigned maintenance personnel (vacations, leaves, trainings, etc.).
14.    Propose and encourage modifications for improvements in machines and equipment.
15.    Attend meetings and trainings.
16.    Root cause analysis to detect improvements in machinery

Eventual activities:

17.    Participate in kaizen events.
18.    Be part of improvement projects (EHS, time reduction, cost savings, etc.).
19. Requisition parts for machinery that are not registered in tool crib.
20.    Creation of RECs as required.
21.    Parts and tooling management for machinery and equipment (maintenance parts and tooling).
