STRATEGIC SOURCING ANALYST III
Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Establishing the supplier sourcing strategy, identifying and managing the customer needs, and deciding the strategic suppliers accordingly to maintain the product footprint.
- Monitoring the negotiation of raw materials, preparing the RFQs in alignment with the supplier strategy, and assisting with make or buy analysis.
- Driving the teams for savings and spending reduction initiatives, improving material productivity, and ensuring compliance with the regulatory standards of the suppliers.
- Leading the optimization of supplier footprints, monitoring the supplier consolidation activities, and setting up the new suppliers in alignment with the strategy.
What your background should look like
• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience performing functions into direct procurement area as Strategic Sourcing Analyst, Commodity or Category Management Specialist.
•Experience in Fasteners, Castings, and Machined Parts.
• Electronics Industry.
• Automotive industry (desirable).
• Strong analytical & negotiation skills• Strategic mindset with strong communication and intercultural skills, ability to adaptandwork with team members in various countries / cultures
• Able to negotiate with key internal stakeholders as well as management team• Advanced knowledge in the use of MS Officeapplications, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, andPower Point. Experience with MS Project as well as SharePoint is a plus.
• SAPknowledge a plus
• Valid US Visa is a must.
Travel: 10%-25%
