Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sourcing and Commodity Leadership:
o Develop and execute global commodity strategies aligned with company goals.
o Manage end-to-end sourcing processes in collaboration with the NPD sourcing team, including supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management.
o Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure long-term collaboration and value creation.
2. Data Analysis and Performance Optimization:
o Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the commodity.
o Track and analyze supplier performance metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
o Support cost-saving initiatives to achieve productivity goals.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Partner with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure supplier alignment with project requirements.
o Collaborate with finance teams to align cost models with budgetary objectives.
o Serve as a commodity expert, presenting insights and strategies to senior management.
4. Risk Management:
o Proactively assess and mitigate risks in the supply chain, ensuring business continuity.
o Drive supplier development programs to improve reliability, quality, and capacity.
5. Compliance and Sustainability:
o Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
o Promote sustainable sourcing practices within the commodity.
Qualifications:
• Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience:
o Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or strategic sourcing roles.
o Proven track record in managing and leading a specific commodity.
• Skills:
o Strong analytical skills with expertise in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
o Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
o Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
o Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term sourcing strategies that align with business objectives.
o Leadership: Strong leadership skills to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
