SR MGR OPERATIONS
Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage end-to-end operations across Molding, Wiring, and Assembly departments, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
• Ensure strict compliance with all EHS standards, promoting a strong safety culture throughout the plant.
• Oversee daily production execution, equipment performance, staffing levels, and process adherence to meet customer demand and delivery targets.
• Coordinate and align production, engineering, and maintenance teams to support operational goals and optimize processes.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts to eliminate waste, streamline processes, and improve productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Materials Planning, HR, Finance) to support new product introductions, process validation, and production ramp-up.
• Monitor performance metrics (OEE, FPY, scrap, labor efficiency) and lead problem-solving activities to drive operational excellence.
• Build and develop a high-performing, engaged workforce through coaching, mentoring, and effective performance management.
What your background should look like:
General Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing:
• Manufacturing production operations
• Engineering and maintenance functions
• Lean manufacturing programs
• Proven ability to lead complex, high-volume operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of plastic injection molding, wiring harness assembly, mechanical assembly, and automation.
• Strong working knowledge of quality systems (ISO/IATF) and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
Preferred Attributes:
• Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.
• Certification in Six Sigma, Lean, or TPM.
• Familiarity with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Ability to manage capital investments and technology implementations.
Location: Hermosillo, Sonora.
