Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.


1. Equipment Development Project 
Responsible for mechanism design for new project or new product, responsible for the improvement design of current existing machine, work Independently or with supplier.

2. Existing MC upgrade with Automation 
Responsible for the mechanical design of automatic modification of our current machine, responsible for the mechanical design of automatized machine improvement, work Independently or with supplier;

3. Overall Design 
Design about the machine layout which should cooperate with the electrical engineer and software engineer, work Independently or with supplier;

5. Machine test and verification
Involved in the machine test and verification and solve the technical problems in the machine production. 

6. Purchase follow up
Responsible for the following of outsourcing parts, solve the parts problem of machine;

7. Design & work documentation
Responsible for build assemble work instruction, manual, and training of assembler, operator and maintenance of the machine.

What your background should look like:

1. Bachelor or above; major in mechanical design, mechanical electronic, automatic facility, and so on. With comprehensive and solid mechanical knowledge
2. 5 years’ experience in mechanical structure design or transmission mechanism design
3. Familiar with manufacturing process of sheetmetal part, injection part and machining part
4. Understand the heating design and EMC knowledge, have good analysis calculation ability.
5. Familiar with the product develop procedure, know the input and output of different design stage
6. Familiar with the model build, and drawing with Solidworks or AutoCAD or Creo. 
7. Think in details, can work under pressure, have good communication ability and team work spirit
8. Can read English technical material and oral communication in Mechanical technical
