Job Overview
The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor (Assembly) is responsible for leading assembly engineering activities to ensure safe, efficient, and robust manufacturing processes. This role drives continuous improvement initiatives, supports the implementation of new technologies, and develops engineering talent while ensuring the achievement of quality, productivity, cost, and delivery objectives.
As a key leader within the Engineering organization, this position oversees engineering resources, provides technical guidance, and collaborates cross-functionally to enhance operational performance and support business growth.
What your background should look like
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Intermediate to Advanced English preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
- At least 2 years of experience leading technical or engineering teams.
- Proven experience in assembly processes, continuous improvement, and project management.
Technical Knowledge
- Manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Root cause analysis and advanced problem-solving techniques.

Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operational Support
- Supervise the activities of assembly engineering teams and technical personnel.
- Provide technical support to Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments.
- Coordinate the resolution of high-impact operational and technical issues.
- Participate in operational reviews and performance meetings.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards across assembly operations.
Performance Management
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including OEE, scrap, PPM, downtime, productivity, manufacturing costs, and on-time delivery.
- Evaluate operational trends and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support process capability reviews and operational performance assessments.
- Drive corrective actions to improve efficiency and manufacturing performance.
Continuous Improvement & Technology Implementation
- Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction projects.
- Identify and evaluate automation opportunities and new technologies.
- Optimize assembly processes to improve productivity, quality, and reliability.
- Manage engineering projects from planning through implementation.
- Coordinate technical training for engineering and operations personnel.
Process & Quality Management
- Review and update procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- Monitor equipment, tooling, and assembly process performance.
- Lead root cause investigations for critical quality and safety issues.
- Ensure timely execution of action plans resulting from internal and external audits.
- Participate in customer and corporate audits as required.
New Product & Capital Projects
- Lead the implementation of new products, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
- Support production line transfers and new program launches.
- Coordinate process validation activities and pilot runs.
- Manage capital investment projects and business case justifications.
- Address specialized customer and corporate technical requirements.
Decision-Making Authority
- Establish priorities and allocate resources within the Assembly Engineering function.
- Approve process improvements within established guidelines.
- Coordinate corrective actions and implement authorized technical changes.
- Stop operations when safety, quality, or business continuity is at risk.
