SR MFG & PROCESS DVL ENGINEER
Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.
Tasks, responsabilities and authority:
Responsible to create and maintenance of Process Flow Diagram
Responsible to create and maintenance of SWI
Responsible to create and maintenance of PFEMA’s with core team
Responsible of planning, develop and maintenance of Manufacturing Processes (takt time analysis, lean manufacturing, balancing lines, ergonomics & layouts)
Responsible of training group leaders and operators in the operation of assembly equipment
Responsible to participate on the creation on Control Plan
Responsible to review B.O.M.
Responsible to manage the support team of the department
Responsible for the schedule his direct reports as well the performance assessment
Responsible to review the customer specifications to develop the process
Responsible to elaborate capacity and utilization analysis for tooling and machinery
Sr – Training of other members of the team when is necessary
Sr – Responsible of processes of high complexity
Sr – Resolve problems with minimum supervision using problem solving methodologies (DMAIC, A3, 8D)
Sr – Responsible to manage and coordinate his team members
Responsible to quote new process, tool and machinery
Responsible to develop new process for NPI
Responsible to work and coordinate the installation, conditioning and validation of new processes for NPI
What your background should look like:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics / Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering
Profesional Experience
At least 5 years in automotive industry or with similar responsibilities
Strong experience on automated processes/ machines
Management of personnel
Specific qualification, knowledge and skills
Proficient in machine, tool, and fixture design.
Proficient knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, & Outlook.
Strong Project Management, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
Must have or be able to obtain a valid Passport. International travel required.
Individual must be a “Team Player” that can work in a fast pace environment with multiple
changing priorities and be a self-starter.
Problem Solving
Fluency in English and Spanish required
Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards
Knowledge in Environmental and Safety Procedures.
Knowledge of Safety and Environment Regulations that apply to the company.
