MGR I MOLDING

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Molding Teams operate assigned automated molding machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities

 

  • Deliver Molding processes with next generation techniques and methods to be a source of competitive advantage and to be capable of delivering long term 
  • performance steps needed by the business in Automotive and other BU’s
  • o Independent management and execution of existing Molding innovation projects
  • oCreate ideas and innovations for new Molding manufacturing concepts and low-cost effective solutions for process improvements and increased productivity  
  • oLeverage internal / external Benchmarks & cooperation (e.g. institutes, universities, suppliers) of “state of the art” Molding technologies 
  • oPlanning and coordination of tests / sampling series with associated investigations in regards to product quality & process performance  
  • oBasic research on various technologies (e.g. Polymer extrusion, Recycling methods,…  )
  • oGeneral studies of trends in the market (AI- technologies, Inline CT, CO2 ↓ trends…)
  • oEnvision digital Molding for global automotive & TE in collaboration with global peers and drive implementation
  • oSupport standardization of TE Molding manufacturing processes incl. documentation, playbooks and standard work instructions in general 
  • oSupport initiatives for plant productivity increase (“TE Best” initiative) 
  • oDevelopment & training of external suppliers with “TE Best” approach  
  • oTracking & maintenance of Molding CoE scorecard, TEBIT and TechNet system  

 

Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

  • Functional and Technical Knowledge
  • Solution-focused, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive knowledge of best-in-class operational improvement tools
  • Project management skills and the willingness to get job done (Hands on)
  • Strong background in Molding related technical concepts and machines / tools / common Molding production matters
  • Knowledge of the latest Molding technologies and innovations
  • Strong general knowledge and experience in range of Molding manufacturing production 
  • Innovative and high level of creativity
  • Base knowledge of Operational Excellence and Lean tools (Six Sigma degree is preferable)
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to influence across an organization and work with global peers
