Job Overview

Provides guidance and leadership on manufacturing processes in order to support organizational manufacturing goals; performs research on products and manufacturing process and share the same with senior engineers.

Responsibilities:

•    End to end cable assembly manufacturing process development (From raw material to components process and to final assemblies), overall manufacturing process owner, guiding team for the best manufacturable process & the best cost process development. 
Concept design & proofing for overall assembly process and tooling, Process development DOE. 
•    Trouble shooter from LVM to HVM in process development, tooling design & qualification, issue finding, and problem solving. 
Platforming manufacturing process development. 
process definition and requirements to automation team for Auto MC development. 
Challenge product design for manufacturability and cost feasibility. Participation on prototype and firs articles development
Participation in launch product at rate through FACA/QCPA tools (yield, CPK, OEE…) 
Part of launch product on time with cross function team. 
Process documentation (DFM,FMEAs, WI, FACA/QCPC…) 
•    Support to provide necessary support to Product and Industrial engineering to provide best fit DFM solutions to meet product requirements and optimized cost. 
•    Support to provide necessary support to the Sourcing team to select best fit Vendor for Process/Tool/Prototype development, tool build.  
•    Participate to identify the best way to manufacture the product / product components using conventional or new to TE processes. 
•    Capture & share lessons learned and store released documents in the TE project management system. 
•    Ensure tooling design documentation is up to date and stored in the TE PDMLink system when the process is released to production at a supplier or transferred to Operations. 

Qualifications:

•    3D CAD – Creo and/or Solidworks medium skills
•    Proven and effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
•    Self-directed and highly motivated  
•    Spanish and English written and verbal communication skills 
•    Working knowledge of manual, semi-automatic and automatic assembly processes 
•    Must be willing to travel as required (15% max) to support NPI launch timelines as well as accommodate other time zones for global collaboration.
