Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Close daily communication with Cust Care Team to address customer requirements. 
  • Review MRP and release Production Orders based on capacity and material availability to support customer demand, maintaining Inventory levels within target. 
  • Review and Execute exception codes (messages) in system (example: 10, 15 and 20)
  • Review and execute daily delivery blocks to communicate with Cust Care team in a proactive way (10, 61, WR, ER, etc) 
  • Follow the appropriate escalation process to communicate on time any situation that could put in risk the normal performance of the business. 
  • Work closely with Production Control team to release Weekly Production Schedule and monitor Schedule Attainment.  
  • Monthly Review of Customer Demand to properly level the load. 
  • Weekly analyze and monitoring of Planning KPI’s, On Time Delivery, Past Due and Lead Time. 
  • Serve as cross functional support to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction. Perform tasks following Standard Work to ensure position requirements are executed according to plan.  Support the TEOA initiatives which are related to Lean Production 
  • Daily review of Backlog report to assure orders are being released according to customer requirement. 


  • Experience +5 years
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong Computer skills (SAP, MS Excel, Power Point)
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • High analytical skills. 
  • Knowledge of basic planning concepts
