Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

What your background should look like:

Education:
Industrial Engineer, Business Management Engineer, Bachelor of Commerce.

- 3 years of experience in the position
- Intermediate English
- SAP 
- Microsoft Office (Good level of Excel)
- VSM
- Problem solving tools (5 why's/ root cause, 8D's, Ishikawa, etc.)

 

Responsabilities:


1. Reviews and analyzes planned sales order requirements suggested by MRP 2.
2.    Releases finished product for shipment
3.    Creation and release of production orders 
4.    Communication with Customer Service to establish agreements and coordinate on time delivery. 
5.    Monitoring of production plan compliance.
6.    Changes in planning by executing exception messages in SAP system.
7.    Review of material availability in the short term.
8.    Monitoring of results in level meetings 
9.    Planning and management of inventory levels of parts manufactured in the plant - taking into account flow and space constraints.
10.    Teamwork with the different departments related to the supply chain.
11.    Be the focal point for priority setting with warehousing, manufacturing and production.
12.    Maintain optimal inventory stock for the production plan.
13.    Confirm scheduled material pickups.
14.    Demand and capacity analysis.
15.    Review and complete assignments in RTS (Request Tracking system).
16.    Creation of purchase orders based on exception messages in SAP system, taking into account last purchases of materials for FAI requirement analysis.
17.    Review of short reports.
18.    Communication with suppliers to establish agreements and coordinate on time delivery.
