Job Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for implementing improvements to the Production System, reducing process costs, maintaining robust manufacturing capacity analyses, and ensuring effective control of equipment inventory. This role plays a key position in developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to support operational excellence, product quality, and cost-efficiency.

Additionally, this position provides technical support for PLC programming and electronic control systems, ensuring stable and efficient manufacturing operations. The Manufacturing Engineer will also support manufacturing and process-focused initiatives, contribute to product launch activities with approximately 3–4 weekly meetings, and backfill responsibilities of a departing Manufacturing Engineer II to maintain team capacity and operational continuity.

General Activities:

-Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams.
-Create and update Operator Work Instructions.
-Develop and maintain PFMEAs in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
-Create and update Set‑Up Sheets.
-Plan, develop, and maintain manufacturing processes (time studies, line balancing, ergonomics, layouts).
-Develop and update process tooling.
-Train group leaders and operators in equipment operation (launches, engineering changes).
-Participate in the development of Control Plans.
-Implement and monitor Engineering Changes within the process.
-Review Bills of Materials (B.O.M.).
-Analyze Loss Exposure in machinery and equipment (LEAS).
-Participate in Continuous Improvement programs within the plant.
-Supervise and manage support personnel within the department.
-Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and optimize manufacturing processes.
-Prepare staff schedules and conduct performance evaluations.
-Analyze customer specifications and requirements.
-Improve techniques for production equipment and tooling.
-Analyze tooling and equipment capacity for new part numbers and changes in quoted volumes.
-Control all customer-supplied products.
-Conduct capability studies for tools and equipment.
-Analyze production standards.
-Maintain updated knowledge of manufacturing techniques.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields.

Professional Experience: 4-4 years of experience preferred in a manufacturing engineering role.

English: Advanced.

Specific Knowledge and Skills
-Proficiency in CAD software and general computer applications.
-Knowledge of time and motion studies, and manufacturing processes.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office.
-Competency in problem‑solving methodologies.
-Ability to demonstrate effective leadership.
-Experience managing and executing projects.
-Ability to interpret specialized technical reports.
-Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
-Advanced knowledge of measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, etc.).
-Knowledge of HMI and PLC systems.
-Ability to build and analyze business cases.
-Advanced understanding of PLCs, sensors, and control systems.
-Knowledge relevant to IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
-Familiarity with the company’s safety regulations and environmental management system.
