Americas Regional Product Manager

Love to create product strategies and work with a team to make that strategy come to life? This Product Manager role is focused on market share expansion and growth in the Americas region. As part of the Connected Living Solutions Business Unit and LPC sub-vertical team, the Americas Regional Product Manager will be joining a group of professionals who are passionate about ensuring the future growth of our business, creating and executing plans, accepting accountability, working together and continually improving while maintaining integrity.
TE Connectivity's Regional Product Managers (RPMs) manage all aspects of a product portfolio. They are directly tied to the customer and own the business within the region. The RPM interacts closely with the Global Product Manager and regional Sales team to align and carry out strategies. The product focus for this RPM is Circular and Rectangular Plastic Connectors. The RPM is responsible for developing and executing the overall business strategy to meet sales and profit targets. The main path to market is through our authorized distribution channel partners. Key measurements are revenue growth and profitability.
What your background should look like:
• 5+ years of experience in product management, segment marketing, application engineering, and/or sales ideally in the Industrial market.
• Located in Hermosillo, MX
• Fluency in Spanish and English languages required.
• Proven history of meeting/exceeding performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant P&L management experience
• Business acumen combined with entrepreneurial mind-set
• Customer focus with solution-oriented thinking.
• Strong communication skills with ability to convey complex information to all stakeholder levels.
• Proven ability to prioritize and drive for results.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build credible relationships with multiple organizational functions.
Key Responsibilities
Market Sensing & Strategy Development
• Build a comprehensive strategy for market penetration in the Americas region
• Serve as the "One face” of the business to the sales teams in the region
• Work effectively with the Global Product Manager to drive execution of the product line strategy in the Americas region
• Closely work with the sales organization to define must wins, share gains programs, and drive empowerment that accelerates speed and responsiveness while jointly executing GTM strategies
• Establish and develop close relationships and intimacy with key customers and focus distributors to drive growth in the region
• Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape and contribute roadmap strategy to product management team
• Function as the “ambassador” of customers and distributors (VOC) in the product management team for the assigned region to help develop strategies to meet/exceed market and customers’ needs
• Perform competitive analysis and benchmarking
New Product Development & Life Cycle Management
• Perform product cost and gross margin analysis and lead critical projects to drive competitive advantage for the assigned product line
• Lead the business side of specific NPI and sustaining projects
• Work with Sales and Customers to develop new opportunities and drive customer requests
• Support in championing the resolution of product and customer escalation e.g., Delivery, quality, inventory.
• Work closely with Operations to ensure delivery performance of the portfolio and driving improvement initiatives
• Drive initiatives to support meeting or exceeding all key performance indicators established during the annual strategic and operating planning processes
Drive Profitable Growth
• Own and ensure financial execution for the regional P&L including bookings, billings, gross margin, and operational expenses needed to support product-line growth
• Accountable for S&OP demand forecasting and measured on forecast accuracy
• Closely work with sales to drive pipeline and conversion for the assigned region with key focus in growing the product lines based on portfolio strategy and value drivers such as focus applications and omni-channel
• Execute pricing policies as defined by the global product management group
• Track progress to the business plan and drive mitigation to gaps together with the GPM
• Effectively communicate and gain buy-in for plan deployment with all layers of the organization
