Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication
Job Overview:
The Advanced Quality Engineer (AQE) is responsible for ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards throughout the product development lifecycle. This role involves working closely with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to conduct risk assessments and develop advanced product quality planning methodologies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The AQE plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with industry standards and customer requirements while enhancing product reliability and performance
• Facilitate Design Review (DR) and Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) reviews through the product development lifecycle.
• Evaluate and document project quality risks
• Implement quality planning and controls for prototype and/or sample builds and manage build records and documents.
• Complete measurement system analysis for inspection systems and gages to be utilized.
• Develop quality control plans
• Work with NPD team to coordinate sample preparation and certification for product verification and qualification testing.
• Conduct and analyze process capability studies in support of Final Tool Approval (FTAR) for all tools and production lines associated with the project using the Comprehensive Tool Approval Report (CTAR), form 5389-DND.
• Review and analyze samples, quality issues and improvement actions during pilot run(s) in preparation for mass production.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation using tools like 8D, Six Sigma, and DMAIC.
• Implement quality controls, inspection gauges, fixtures and inspection procedures (QIP) for production shop floor.
• Ensure Quality requirements are being followed as per “Site General Quality Requirements” spec.
• Identify customer and internal quality requirements and ensure they are in the PRD.
• Approve product drawings as required.
• Submit product final inspection / verification report for customer approval. i.e. PPAP, FIR, CVR.
• Provide support on quality related tasks to other sister plants as required.
What your background should look like:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering: Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Valid US Visa.
• Advanced certifications (CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) are a plus.
• 5-7 years in quality engineering, manufacturing, or product development roles.
• Experience in automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or industrial manufacturing is preferred
• Advanced English level
• Knowledge and working experience with Automotive core tools - APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA & 8D problem-solving.
• Experience in SPC techniques and 7 quality tools.
• Knowledge in ISO9001 quality management system (QMS)
• knowledge in manufacturing processes such as Cable assembly and testing/ Connectors / molding
