Job Overview

The Industrial Business Unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Regional Product Manager (RPM) within the Industrial Relay & PSF sub-vertical.
The RPM PSF will manage all aspects of our Passive, Switches and Filters product line in the Americas region and is responsible for regional product strategy, regional business performance in order to meet sales and gross (or standard) margin targets. The position will report to the Head of Regional Product Mangement PSF&Relays

S/he will bring a growth-oriented mind-set, excellent commercial acumen and cross functional experience, and a hands-on leadership style into the team. The successful candidate will be part of the Product Management team and will report to the Head of Regional Product Management of Industrial Relays/PSF sub-vertical
 

What your background should look like:

Responsibilities 

  • Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Conduct market segmentation exercises to develop market segment-specific strategies.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking.
  • Product Forecast (S&OP) to support Operations/Manufacturing and influence long term capacity planning.
  • Define segment–specific value propositions that beat the competition.
  • Support to develop product roadmaps that align with business strategy.
  • Design go to market strategy, inclusive of channel strategy and partnerships.
  • Specific the regional specific strategy for the assigned product Lines.
  • Work with R&D and operations in the development of new products to meet current and future customer requirements.
  • Manage the product lifecycle, by actively promoting or exiting products.
  • Support to define resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmap.
  • Work cross functionally to define sales, technology and operations strategies and goals, in line with financial goals. Build consensus on specific tasks.
  • Be the opportunity champion for PAC projects.
  • Product launch preparation activities (Ready-Set-Go).
  • Pricing support: Portfolio Management: Book Pricing, Quotes.
  • Support the development of 5-year strategic growth plan, market analysis, competitive analysis, industry trends and market penetration of product lines.
  • Be a leader in solving conflicts and finding resolution to challenges impacting customer experience.
  • Enable sales to promote product line via training and the development of collateral materials that help articulate the value proposition.
  • Manage special pricing requests.
  • Track progress to the business plan and facilitate resolution to gaps.
  • Provide demand forecast inputs to S&OP. 
  • Attend customer meetings in support of winning new business. 


Requirements/ Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant P&L management experience is preferred.
  • 5y+ Previous experience in Sales, Marketing, Product or Manufacturing Management.
  • Experience in the field of Electrical Connectors or Components ideally in the mentioned product areas is a preferred.
  • Relevant product (Passive/resistors, Switches or Filter) or industry experience (automation, robotic,motion & Drive,…) is a plus.

  • Strong commercial and marketing skills, including ability to derive insights from VOC.
  • Familiarity and experience leveraging a commercial tool kit, VOC, Market Segmentation, Strategic Pricing, Customer communication etc. 
  • Experience influencing others and getting things done through others.
  • Demonstrated evidence of success in both direct line leadership and highly matrixed global environment.
  • Working knowledge of Industrial product markets.
  • Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes.
