Warehouse Operative
Job Overview
Collaborates with multiple stakeholders to manage the flow of materials and products through the warehouse, plans, and schedules shipments to meet customer deadlines.
Job Requirements
- Goods Receiving & Put Away: Handle incoming goods and store them promptly.
- Kitting: Prepare parts and materials for production within 24 hours.
- Stock Accuracy: Maintain inventory accuracy.
- Shipping & Receiving: Manage the movement of goods and supplies through the warehouse, consolidating shipment receipts and reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth and timely delivery of shipments and goods.
- Documentation: Assist with creating and consolidating shipping and receiving reports.
- Compliance & Problem-Solving: Track performance metrics, resolve shipping and receiving issues, and ensure compliance with all shipping regulations.
- Material Handling: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials in the warehouse.
- General Housekeeping: Carry out regular 5S+1 activities to keep the workspace organized and safe.
- EH&S Awareness: Submit at least 2 “Don’t Walk By” safety observations every 3 months.
What your background should look like
- A good general all-round education.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or factory environment.
- Basic computer skills for inventory and reporting tasks.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
