Project Manager

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross-functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution while adhering to LeanPD processes.

 

Manager of new development projects:

  • Setting up and monitoring planning Project
  • Managing tasks and stakeholders in the project
  • Reporting on project progress
  • Financial and hourly project volume management

 

Manage projects to ensure their success by following:

-    Use project management tools to track them (TE project / MS Project, cost model, etc.)
-    Allow all teams to focus on the tasks that the project(s) are responsible for in line with its progress (Definition, Concept, Design, Validation, Industrialization, Production)
-    Assign and follow the tasks delegated to the project member, to ensure that they are done and within the allotted time
-    Follow TE processes, especially LEAN PD v2
-    Leading the teams of the definition of need, to transfer into production series
-    Prepare and present the project's ID card and present it to the "Project Approval Committee"

What your background should look like:

Professional Experience:

  • Solid experience working in a PM role. Background as an Engineer or Technician is preferred due to the technical nature of this role. 
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing / Engineering (mechanical or electrical) 
     

Soft skills:
-    Communication and organization
-    Ability to work in a wide range of multidisciplinary contexts
-    Adaptive capacity
-    Good resilience to pressure

 


Specific skills:
-    Easy use of MS office, (Project, Excel, Powerpoint), ERP (SAP, etc...)

 

Technical skills:
-    Reading drawings
-    Establishing GANTT Schedule
-    Knowledge in Mechanics, Molding and Assembly appreciated

 

Education:
- School of engineering mechanical speciality, product/process, industry OR Qualification in Project Management OR Senior technician with significant industry experience
