Job Overview
The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing and customer requirements through effective quality engineering, defect investigation, and continuous improvement activities. The role plays a key part in driving zero-defect performance, ensuring compliance to quality standards, and strengthening a proactive quality culture across the site.
Your new role:
- Lead and support defect investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
- Own quality issues affecting product within assigned value streams and drive timely containment, root cause, and corrective action.
- Support shop floor activities including Material Review Board (MRB) and rework disposition.
- Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external quality queries.
- Support customer complaint handling in line with company and customer requirements.
- Support internal audits of manufacturing and control systems.
- Maintain quality documentation in a controlled, accurate, and up-to-date manner.
- Contribute to daily quality KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote and comply with Health & Safety requirements at all times.

• Confident user of Microsoft Office
• Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar is desirable
• Experience with structured problem solving tools such as 8D and RCA is desirable
• Exposure to internal or external auditing activities is desirable
