Salary £55,000 - £68,000 DEO 


Job Overview

The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) business unit of TE is part of the Industrial Solutions segment (Industrial Solutions) and is a world leader in the design of components and electrical interconnection solutions that are used for applications in extreme and rigorous environments. These interconnection solutions make possible applications of avionics, jet and propulsion engine management, flight controls, grounding systems and on-board entertainment (EAB) for today's "connected aircraft". This capability is extended to military, marine, aviation, space, land and drone vehicles, as well as oil and gas exploration of open-ocean deposits. TE offers solutions for enhanced connectivity that work and resist in the most extreme environments on Earth, from the deepest oceans to the ends of space.


Job Responsibilities
As Head of Quality, you will be responsible for; 


•    Total plant Quality Management for an Aerospace, Defence and Marine Connectors site.
•    Support, maintain and enhance the quality management system requirements of AS9100, Nadcap and all other associated site and product approvals.
•    Leading, directing and developing teams to grow a high-performance culture.
•    Development and execution of Site Quality strategy.
•    Drive a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and best practices to improve the effectiveness of the organization.
•    Lead cultural change in approach to quality across the site.
•    Ensure the appropriate quality processes are in place and are effective to meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
•    Drive improvements in quality performance to enhance the customer experience and to reduce the Cost of Poor Quality.
•    Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the site quality system and product quality while ensuring compliance to governing regulations and corporate policies and procedures.
•    Via AQE ensure NPI projects are delivered compliantly, on time and to budget. 
Ensure appropriate leading KPIs are in place and are reacted to in a timely manner.
•    Own leadership and guidance of site Quality teams on matters such as compliance and industry best practices.
•    Act as champion for TE values and drive customer centric ethos.
•    Customer liaison and interface as required.


BS/BA Degree in Quality, Engineering or similar field required 


Key Requirements
•    Proven experience in a senior quality position, with strong people leadership experience.
•    Demonstrable significant achievements in terms of quality improvement via reduced customer complaints, improved customer experience and reduced COPQ.
•    Demonstrable achievement in team development and cultural transformation.
•    Demonstrable achievement in Quality tool deployment and or CI tool deployment.
•    Demonstrated experience driving change using LEAN concepts Ensure there is a strong quality organization in place to support the business and deliver global and local objectives.
•    Working knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma experience required, SSGB or SSBB preferred.
