Quality Engineer

Your daily tasks:
- Assist in shop floor (Mold Shop) Material Review Board.
- Ensure that Customer (both internal and external) quality queries are dealt with promptly, efficiently and professionally.
- Take ownership of quality assurance issues affecting TE product.
- Maintain quality documentation in a neat and methodical manner, both in paper copy and or electronically.
- Conduct 8D defect investigations and present written preventive and corrective actions to TE company standard.
- Review the quality/effectiveness of 8D’s and that Corrective Actions are implemented.
- Form part of a team who conduct audits of manufacturing and control systems.
- Liaise with the other departments to ensure that corrective actions and/or reworks are undertaken, and that actions and/or reports are produced in a suitably timely manner.
- Assist in other Quality Department activities, to include, but not limited to, daily KPI measures and internal reworks.
- Observe Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation.
What your background should look like:
- Have good understanding and ability to use MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiar with mechanical measurement techniques and be able to use electrical and mechanical measuring equipment.
- Be capable of reading engineering drawings (i.e., BS308).
- Have experience with ISO9001 AND/OR AS9100
- Good general education to GCSE level
- Experience with plastics / rubber / molding would be an asset
- Mechanical Engineering or similar technical qualifications is advantageous.
