Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

Your responsibilities

•    Lead the teams Daily Go meetings raising escalations where appropriate
•    Responsible for ensuring the meeting of KPI’s within the team daily
•    Responsible for reporting and identifying the root cause analysis on STS/STR and PDR /PDOS to predict and drive commitment to the monthly billings, identifying any Billings opportunities
•    Responsible for monthly & quarterly billings & inventory targets for assigned GPL, highlighting and managing any risks to billings and deliveries by working with key departments to resolve
•    Attend Customer calls when required
•    Observe and comply with Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and legislation
•    Responsible for the team maintaining rolling orderbooks for customer requirements, ensuring plans are kept up to date and customers notified in advance of any changes to orders, ensuring the team are communicating with Customer Services and Product Managers on supply delays and recovery plans. Also ensuring the review and resolve mid to long range schedule conflicts ensuring supply balance and improved inventory, raising any supply issues 
•    Monitoring and creation of deliveries per Customer needs (Customer Requested Date).

What your background should look like:

  • Educated to degree level 
  • Good written, verbal and communication skills within team and external stakeholders 
  • Experience in production and material planning within manufacturing 
  • At least 2-3 years' experience of team leader management 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, tight deadlines and problem solving 
  • SAP experience is a must have 
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis & excel
