Your new role:
- Lead and manage the daily activities of the inspection team, delivering training, coaching and ongoing support to ensure consistent high‑quality inspection practices.
- Oversee the inspection of incoming materials and purchased components, ensuring correct use and calibration of measurement equipment along with accurate documentation of inspection results.
- Take ownership of supplier rejects and non‑conformance management by raising Vendor NCRs promptly and coordinating containment, segregation and traceability of non‑conforming materials.
- Ensure finished goods meet all compliance and quality requirements prior to dispatch, confirming all associated documentation is complete and accurate.
- Maintain clear up‑to‑date inspection records and support the review and revision of inspection plans, SOPs and quality documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Logistics, Supplier Quality, Engineering and Planning teams, providing updates on inspection backlogs, priorities and critical quality issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve inspection efficiency and contribute to wider continuous‑improvement initiatives across the Quality function.
Your ideal background:
- Strong background in inspection
- Skilled in the use of mechanical/electrical measurement equipment
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with ERP/inspection systems
- Experience leading a team
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100
- Experience with supplier non‑conformance
- Comfortable working in a small team of nine where efficiency and a fast‑paced environment are essential
