Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Shipping & Receiving Teams perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties. They use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting incoming and outgoing shipments. They follow shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules and requirements. The Shipping & Receiving Teams receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment. They process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents. They also route merchandise to destinations.
Job Requirements
- Responsible for ensuring any movement of parts are also transacted in SAP
- Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of the goods
- Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base
- Responsible for planning for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions
- Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments; rejects damaged items; records shortages; corresponds with the shipper to rectify damages/shortages; receives/processes defective parts returned for replacement/credit
- Receives parts into stock from goods receipt dock, production finished goods, and quality inspection
- Supports production in picking, kitting, and delivering parts to production area(s) for value‑added process
- Completing daily/weekly cycle counts
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Responsible for always keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations

What your background should look like
- Qualified candidates must have a minimum High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving.
- Familiarity with SAP systems/programs used in this job preferred
- Inventory management and/or reconciliation experience
- Manufacturing support experience
- Vital document identification experience
- Previous mail processing experience preferred; knowledge of postal regulations preferred.
- Incumbents may be required to lift and/or carry mail flats/bags weighing up to 40 lbs and walk considerable distances each day. Work is performed within pick-up and delivery deadlines.
- Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out moderately complex, multi-step instructions and make appropriate independent decisions as necessary.
- Physical Demands - Regularly required sitting, frequently required to reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel crouch, talk or hear; must be able to lift objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
- Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Core hours are from Monday through Friday, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm or 7:00 am - 4:30 pm. 40 Hours per week, reasonable flexibility.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $43,200 – $64,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
