Job Overview

 The Materials Planning Analyst III is a senior-level professional responsible for developing and executing complex material planning strategies to ensure the timely availability of raw materials, components, and finished goods. This role ensures alignment with production schedules, customer demand, and inventory targets, while driving process improvements and supply chain efficiency. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including procurement, production, logistics, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:


•    Develop and manage detailed material plans to support production schedules and customer orders.
•    Analyze MRP (Material Requirements Planning) outputs to ensure accurate planning and material availability.
•    Monitor inventory levels, forecast accuracy, and supply chain KPIs to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
•    Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, resolve shortages, and improve lead times.
•    Evaluate demand fluctuations and capacity constraints, recommending planning strategies to optimize production flow.
•    Lead continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes, systems, and tools.
•    Participate in cross-functional projects related to new product introductions, supplier transitions, or systems upgrades.
•    Support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes with data analysis and materials planning insights.
•    Train and mentor junior materials planners and act as a subject matter expert on planning 

What your background should look like:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
•    5–7 years of experience in materials planning or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
•    Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
•    Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
•    APICS/CPIM certification is preferred.
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision
•    Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
•    Knowledge of international supply chain/logistics processes.
•    Familiarity with ISO/quality system standards.
•    Strong project management skills.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $84,600-$127,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
