Job Overview
The Material Handler I supports production by examining, storing, transporting, and distributing materials in a safe and organized manner. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely material flow, and compliance with internal procedures. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, reliable, and able to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Job Requirements
Material Movement & Production Support
- Transport raw materials, components, packaging, finished goods, and scrap to and from the production floor.
- Identify material needs at the start of each shift and replenish materials based on the production schedule.
- Locate, pull, and verify materials and supplies listed on production orders.
Inventory & Documentation
- Examine incoming and outgoing materials to verify documentation accuracy.
- Perform SAP transactions to issue materials, process stock transfers, and complete material requests.
- Complete all required paperwork, logs, forms, and assist in preparing bills of lading for outgoing shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory by labeling, organizing, and reporting shortages.
- Perform cycle counts to support inventory accuracy and verify stock levels.
Shipping & Receiving
- Prepare goods for shipment including scanning, labeling, wrapping, staging, and verification activities.
- Assist with receiving processes such as unloading, inspecting, and storing materials.
Equipment & Safety

- Operate material‑handling equipment such as pallet jacks and other lifting devices.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment following 5S and safety protocols.
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or material discrepancies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What your background should look like
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Entry‑level position; Some previous material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs) using pallet jacks or similar equipment.
- Basic computer skills; SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and move between work zones as needed.
- Proficiency in English to read documentation, labels, and work instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience.
- Familiarity with inventory systems such as SAP.
- Experience performing basic cycle counts or material transactions.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $33,600– $50,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
