Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Analyze, troubleshoot and repair equipment 
· Handle complex assignments requiring independent action and initiative
· Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
· Discuss technical data with engineers and other maintenance technicians as required
· Work with engineering to modify and/or improve existing machinery to enhance its operation
· Fabricate and assemble parts into completed units, using jigs, fixtures, hand and power tools
· Help with rigging of equipment, operate forklifts, man-lifts, and other powered vehicles
· Participate in problem solving activities 
· Support process and equipment improvements and development of new equipment or processes
· Design fixtures, generate schematics, drawings, and process instructions
· Write reports to communicate and document technical issues
· Train others in areas of expertise
· Initiate purchase requests for parts and supplies
· May plan and coordinate activities of others, lead cross functional teams, including outside contacts
· May support facilities maintenance and other duties as assigned by engineers and manager
Observe and support all safety and ethics policies

What your background should look like:

· Ability to visualize parts of machineries to be maintained or repaired
· Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, models or other visual aids.
· Ability to get along with others and work in a team environment
· Ability to act independently with minimal supervision
· Ability to be innovative and creative, adapt to change
· Available for occasional calls on evenings and weekends
· Maintain a cheerful, positive, can-do attitude, being responsive and approachable
· Knowledge of and experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
· Knowledge of and experience with the use of measuring tools, hand and power tools
· Knowledge of and experience with MS Excel and MS Word
· Knowledge of and experience with machining in preferred
· Knowledge of and experience with CAD is preferred
· Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
· Bending, stooping, and /or remain in a standing position for extended periods of time
· Manual dexterity to manipulate objects to precise positions
· Applies knowledge, skills, judgment and initiative to complete a wide range of difficult tasks. 
· Requires a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of related experience or local equivalent.
· AA Degree in related discipline or local equivalent and 2 years of related experience is preferred.
Must be US person or PRC holder due to access to products and technology controlled under the ITAR & EAR

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $50880-76320 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
