Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong expertise in both CNC Lathe operations and Haas CNC Mill machines. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of hands-on experience in a precision machining environment and be proficient in setup, operation, and minor programming/editing of CNC equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality and on-time production of machined components.

Job Requirements

•    Set up and operate CNC lathes and Haas vertical/horizontal mills to machine parts to specifications.
•    Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
•    Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools.
•    Edit G-code programs directly at the machine as needed.
•    Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to optimize quality and cycle time.
•    Maintain machine tools and equipment in good working condition.
•    Troubleshoot and resolve machining and tooling issues.
•    Collaborate with engineers and quality inspectors to improve manufacturing processes.
•    Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety and quality standards.

What your background should look like

Requirements:
•    5–10 years of CNC machining experience with a strong focus on both lathe and Haas milling machines.
•    Proficient in setup and operation of CNC lathes and Haas vertical/horizontal mills.
•    Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.
•    Experience with a variety of materials (e.g., aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, etc.).
•    Solid understanding of tooling, feeds/speeds, and machining best practices.
•    Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
•    Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
•    High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.

Preferred Skills:
•    Experience with 3-axis and 4-axis Haas mills.
•    Familiarity with Mastercam or other CAM software is a plus.
•    Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience:  $51,400 – $77,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
