As a Commercial Project Manager for the Aerospace, Defense, & Marine BU, you will help lead commercially driven initiatives that bring structure, alignment, and momentum to complex customer-focused work. Based in a remote role, you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to organize projects, clarify priorities, and support execution across programs tied to customer engagement, customer centricity, and customer performance. This is a newly created opportunity for an experienced project professional who can bring discipline to ambiguity, connect business needs to actionable plans, and keep broad teams moving in the same direction.

You will join an environment where projects are centered solving business and customer challenges that may involve multiple teams, sites, and functions. In this role, you will help shape how commercial initiatives are structured and managed, supporting efforts such as ongoing customer-focused programs and the commercial TEOA journey. This is a strong fit for someone with proven project management capability, strong business and customer acumen, and the ability to translate complex needs into practical next steps across a distributed organization.

Long Description

What you'll be doing

  • Lead commercially driven projects that require strong coordination across functions, with a focus on customer-related priorities and business outcomes.
  • Bring structure to complex initiatives by helping define project scope, organize activities, and guide stakeholders through execution in a clear and disciplined way.
  • Translate customer needs and business requirements into actionable plans, helping teams understand what must happen to move from problem identification to resolution.
  • Track program and stakeholder progress, helping ensure actions are assigned, followed through, and aligned to agreed timelines and expectations.
  • Support problem-solving efforts for complex customer situations that cannot be resolved by a single person, team, or site, bringing the right stakeholders together to move work forward.
  • Apply project management tools and practices such as planning, coordination, accountability, and timeline management to commercial initiatives in a practical and effective way.
  • Contribute to ongoing initiatives related to operational excellence on the commercial side, helping teams build ownership and accountability as projects advance.
  • Work across internal teams to maintain alignment, identify blockers, and help keep projects progressing through the appropriate steps and decision points.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in project management within a business, commercial, or cross-functional environment where influence and coordination are critical to success.
  • Strong business acumen and customer acumen, with the ability to understand customer needs and connect them to practical internal actions.
  • Demonstrated strength in structure, process, problem solving, and big-picture thinking.
  • Ability to work effectively in roles that involve significant cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, and shared accountability.
  • Confidence operating in situations with ambiguity, where projects are still being defined and require someone who can create clarity and forward motion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bring people together, align different perspectives, and maintain focus on priorities.
  • A balanced approach that combines process discipline with flexibility, especially in ongoing programs that evolve over time.
  • Comfort working with teams that include subject matter experts, using their input to build coordinated plans without needing to be the technical expert in every area.

What you'll need

  • Proven ability to manage projects using core project management practices such as planning, scope management, timeline coordination, and stakeholder follow-through.
  • Experience supporting programs that involve multiple stakeholders and require consistent accountability across functions.
  • Readiness to work in a remote position while staying closely connected with internal teams and business partners.
  • Familiarity with customer-focused business environments where progress depends on coordination across teams rather than direct authority.
  • Ability to assess incoming priorities, organize next steps, and help determine which actions and stakeholders are needed to achieve project goals.
  • Willingness to step into a newly created role and help establish a strong foundation for how commercial projects are managed going forward.
